Q What is the procedure for maintenance requests?
A Maintenance requests should always be put in writing. While you should feel free to call the office, the request should be followed up in writing. You can fax, e-mail, include with rent, or drop off the maintenance request at the office. Remember, in accordance with your lease, by requesting maintenance, you are authorizing MTD or its contractors access to your apartment to make/assess the repair.
Q What are your hours?
A Our normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. If you need to talk about something specific, please arrange an appointment in advance with the property manager.
Q What if I have an emergency in my apartment/building after business hours?
A First, for FIRE, CALL 911. Then, you should call the janitor. Third, call the main number of the office at 773-290-1100, select the emergency mailbox (extension #30). Our voice mail is designed to have the caller follow prompts in order to have a staff member paged. Please remember to leave your name, property location, apartment number, nature of emergency, AND PHONE NUMBERS where we may reach you. We will call you back immediately. Situations that are considered emergencies are: broken pipe, no heat, fire, theft.

Q What is the fax number for MTD?
A The fax number is 773-290-1101.
Q Where do I obtain the necessary paperwork to apply for an apartment?
A On this website! Under the forms section, you can download the PDF file for the "Application to Lease", the "Employment Verification Form" and the "Landlord Verification Form". The application to lease needs to be filled out and returned to MTD along with 2 checks: one for the 1st month's rent and one for the credit check fee. The landlord and employment verification forms need to be given to your landlord and employer to fill out and fax back to MTD at 773-290-1101. REMEMBER: Only by submitting an application ALONG WITH one month's rent and the credit check fee does the apartment get taken off the market while MTD checks the credit. Submitting a fax does not put you ahead of any subsequent applications that may come in with the required monies.
